Sub-300ms Conversational Audio & PortNet API Ingestion
A technical deep-dive into our streaming Conformer ASR pipeline, SIMD EVS audio resampling in Rust, and real-time customs clearance event processing at Casablanca Port.
1. The Real-Time Voice Audio Bottleneck
Standard cloud speech APIs impose 800ms to 1,400ms of latency over Moroccan ISP routes due to transatlantic TLS round-trips. By terminating SIP trunks directly on Casablanca bare-metal nodes and streaming 20ms audio frames into a quantized Conformer encoder, we achieve a median first-token latency of 268ms for conversational Darija.
2. SIMD Audio Resampling with Zero Allocations
Telecom networks still transmit narrowband 8kHz G.711 or wideband 16kHz AMR-WB over SS7. We wrote a high-throughput resampling engine in Rust leveraging ARM NEON and AVX2 SIMD instructions to transcode 4,800 concurrent streams per socket with less than 3% CPU utilization.
3. PortNet Casablanca Single-Window Ingestion
Casablanca customs clearance requires atomic synchronization with the National Port Agency’s PortNet EDI. Our resilient transactional state machine processes incoming cargo manifests with cryptographic ICE signature validation, buffering peak surges with zero dropped packets.
